Hockey fans may have perfect reason to sell mobile phone
22 October 2010 — 6:05 PM
Enthusiastic hockey fans with a desire to keep up to date with all the sport's latest news and views may never have a better reason to sell a mobile phone and upgrade to a new device.
The England Hockey Board has launched its own app, which is available to download by those with either an Apple iPhone or Android handset.
As such, consumers without one of these types of phone may be wise to splash out on a new model as soon as possible.
The app will include all the breaking news from the world of hockey, as well as information on both the international scene and the English Hockey League.
It should also offer updates on the ticketing situation for the London Olympic Games in 2012, where hockey is one of the events due to be contested.
Fans may also be able to keep up to date with England's bid to host the 2014 World Cup, which was launched in London this week.
