Twitter is perfect for those who love to get something off their chest on a regular basis, or simply wish to keep up to date with what their friends are up to.
For a wide range of Twitter apps, some could find it is particularly beneficial to sell their mobile and instead invest in an iPhone, as the revolutionary device offers access to a number of features related to the social network.
Jonathan Parkyn, writing for CNET UK, assembles some of the top tools for those who love to tweet.
He starts by nominating the official Twitter app as an "obvious" download, before suggesting Echofon Pro – a well-presented portal that is easy to use on the go – and the customisable TweetDeck as other good choices.
Mr Parkyn points out there are plenty of creations that will allow people to use the site, with many offering free versions.
Despite the prominence of Twitter in the mobile market, Facebook was recently identified by Three as the most popular feature of phones with mobile broadband.
