Selling mobile may lead users to 'greatest gadget of all time'

People who choose to sell a mobile this winter could opt for a replacement in the shape of the iPhone – which is still in the running to be named by one publication as the Greatest Gadget of the 21st Century.
Luke Westaway, writing for the online magazine in question, CNET UK, says the device has progressed through three rounds relatively unscathed.
He describes it as an "iconic gadget", explaining it will go up against the TomTom Go Live sat nav in the next stage of the contest.
The omens are good for the iPhone, with Mr Westaway noting it has treated the match-up with "an air of contempt".
Some of the specifications of the handset that could lure those who have recently sold a mobile include its provision of web browsing technology, thousands of apps and hi-tech camera.
The most recent incarnation of the Apple product, the iPhone 4, was released in the UK in June.
