Job seekers could benefit from selling mobile phone

Selling a mobile phone might be an appealing option to job seekers in many cases, with the chance to raise a sum of money potentially a tempting choice.
But those who do so and reinvest the cash in order to buy an Apple iPhone could be the shrewdest of all, after STV launched a special app for the device.
The news provider notes its STV Jobs tool is now available to help those in Scotland looking for work.
One factor that may set the app apart from other similar developments is its ability to provide real-time updates, so if a position is advertised those who have registered an interest in the field it is in will be sent a message with the information.
"If a user saves a particular search - for example, financial services in Edinburgh - they will receive a notification directly to their handset as soon as a new position matching their chosen criteria is added," explains Mike Ferguson, head of classified at STV.
Pocket Gamer this week announced it is launching a guide to the latest games for iPhone users.
