'Always compare mobile phone deals'

Those looking to get one of the latest phones and sell an old mobile should look around for the best deals, it has been suggested.
Writing for the Telegraph, Melanie Wright put together some tips for consumers who want a new contract to suit their needs.
Virgin Mobile and 3 were both noted for offering lower-priced tariffs than some other providers, with the former's deal throwing in a Samsung G600 handset and the latter's including a Sony Ericsson G502.
However, for users who do not make calls frequently, pay-as-you-go is an idea worth considering, Ms Wright added.
Handsets for this type of deal begin at about £20, she explained, so those who want to recycle their phone and use the cash to buy a new one might be in luck.
Many handsets are now available using pay-as-you-go, such as the Apple iPhone 3G, which also doubles up as an iPod.
