Expert advises: Go green and save cash
24 February 2009 — 4:00 PM
The current economic climate is ideal for combining saving money with recycling, it has been suggested.
According to a spokeswoman for AT Kearney, a company that offers a number of business solutions for firms looking to streamline their work, cutting carbon emissions goes hand-in-hand with spending less.
Margaret Hansen, global procurement director of corporate travel at the firm, said the current "convergence" between green agendas and the economy was beneficial to the environment.
"It is a very positive thing to have the opportunity to do the carbon trade-off to do the right thing and help protect the Earth," she concluded.
Her comments, which were made to The Business Travel Show this month, may encourage those looking to recycle mobile phones as a means to act more responsibly and generate cash for the latest contracts.
The event was held at Earls Court between February 10th and 12th.
