UK launch for Acer mobile phones

Those looking at the latest mobile phones may be interested in some new handsets that are heading to the UK
Acer, an electronics manufacturer better known for its PC and laptop technology, has announced it will launch a new range of smartphones at an event in London.
The product launch follows a showcase at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where, the Wired Blog Network (WBN) reported earlier this month, the firm had previewed eight new devices.
Now, visitors to the Covent Garden Hotel on Thursday March 5th will get the chance to see the phones in all their glory.
WBN reported Acer's handsets are clearly aimed at a number of different users and drew attention to one model which could suit professionals.
"The M900 is Acer's Blackberry-a-like," it advised, "an email machine with a slide out qwerty keyboard Price is unknown, but we should see the M900 in the next couple of months."
All of the phones are said to be equipped with Windows Mobile and come with a touchscreen.
