A number of mobile phone manufacturers and operators have featured among this year's Business Superbrands 500.
The annual release lists the most favoured companies and service providers in the UK and its 2009 research has placed a number of firms in the sector among its top 100.
Sony was one such electronics manufacturer that performed well, taking the third spot, with its mobile branch Sony Ericsson listed at 41 - which may inspire many to consider its latest phones - such as the Xperia X1.
Elsewhere, Nokia came in at five, followed by Apple - creator of the iPod Touch media player and iPhone 3G - in 11th.
Vodafone made an appearance at 26 this year, a position which may have been strengthened by its ability to exclusively offer the BlackBerry Storm to users in the UK.
BlackBerry itself featured at 42 and this was followed by O2 at 59, Siemens at 62, Orange at 71 and Samsung at 76.
