Expert advises: Act now on climate change

People need to act now and go green rather than have to deal with the consequences later, one expert has advised.
A spokesman for the WWF, an international organisation which focuses on a range of environmental issues, said consumers and businesses need to take short-term action to achieve long-term success.
Colin Butfield, head of campaigns at the group, explained although small things like switching off lights would only save a minimal amount of energy it could have a greater impact later.
"From a UK business point of view tackling climate change is actually going to be a very positive thing and probably considered far more positive than to leave it unchecked and to have to deal with the impact," he added.
