Going green is an endeavour that people take on board willingly in order to save money as well as be kinder to the planet, it has been advised.
Recycling mobile phones can be a good way to act in an environmentally-responsible manner while saving money - and it is this type of process that a spokesman for npower has said interests many.
Oliver Heath, who has also featured on TV shows such as Changing Rooms and Dream Homes in his capacity as an eco designer, said cutting costs and going green are intrinsically linked.
"There is a definite trend for people to want to save money and have an awareness at the back of their mind about the impact that their home is having on the environment," he added.
According to a recent study, put together by Tickbox.net and Opinion Matters on behalf of npower, 64 per cent of people believe saving money and being green is important.
