For those with the latest phones, answering calls while on the move or driving can present a number of options.
However, for those who do not like to wear a separate headset, a new review suggests LG could have the answer.
Mobile Burn puts the South Korean manufacturer's new HFB-500 speaker to the test and concludes that overall the device is "a very capable" little gadget.
Attention is drawn to the compact nature of the Bluetooth-powered unit, which it notes looks a lot like a mobile phone itself.
"Small, light and easy to use - it's a great companion to have in the car. The fact that it incorporates solar charging capabilities for exceptional standby and talk times only sweetens the experience," the article concludes.
Other Bluetooth enabled handsets in the LG range which may tempt those recycling used mobiles include the KC910 Renoir - which is an eight-megapixel cameraphone.
