Network advises on finding the best mobile deals
25 March 2009 — 9:59 AM
A US-based network has offered advice on how to secure the best deal on the latest contracts and handsets.
Verizon Wireless states there are some important considerations when upgrading or buying a new handset and goes on to offer tips which could interest those looking to recycle mobile phones in favour of a new model.
Selecting a price plan "that fits your lifestyle" is the first point to remember. It is noted that deciding between prepaid and contract phones should depend on how much you plan to use it.
Test driving the network - which could be done by buying a cheap sim card - is another hint, as is looking at text and picture messaging bundles, online billing options, reward programmes and free accessories.
Verizon spokeswoman Christine Baron commented: "The bottom line for anyone looking to get the most for their money is value and reliability."
"If you can only call from limited areas and can't complete your calls, then a low price doesn't necessarily equal a good deal."
