Motorola i9 'recalls the RAZR series'

Motorola's latest phone is reminiscent of some of the manufacturer's past glories, one expert has suggested.
Philip Berne notes in an article for inFoSynch that the Motorola i9 is a clamshell-style device that looks the part and draws on some of the design aesthetics of the popular RAZR series.
Equipped with a 2.2-inch internal and two-inch external screen - both of which are QVGA - five hours of battery talktime as well as some interesting messaging and email features, the review says the i9 will be appreciated by some.
"Having such capable email on a multimedia phone like the Moto i9 is a nice bonus that will make this phone more useful to corporate users," Mr Berne explains.
The phone's integrated music player and 3.1-megapixel camera are rated as "mediocre", but for those who do not need the phone for multimedia tasks it concludes the model could still be of interest.
Motorola's i9 is also known in some regions as the Stature.
