The latest phone to emerge from the LG stable is an upgrade of one of its previous handsets, it has been advised.
According to Mobile Burn, a post on the South Korean manufacturer's German site - which has since been removed - confirmed the upcoming GC900 model would be a reworking of the Viewty.
However, the site noted although the handset was originally to be called the Viewty II, the blog confirmed the phone will be given the moniker of the Viewty Smart.
"Although the information has been pulled from the site, we can say with some certainly that the information originally posted on the site appears to be valid," the article added.
In addition, it states the new device is expected to weigh around 3.2 ounces and will come equipped with an eight-megapixel camera, three-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, geotagging and the manufacturer's own 3D S-Class user interface.
The original LG Viewty was released in 2007 and was also known as the KU990.
