Nokia's first ever full touchscreen phone has had a number of comparisons with the iPhone - and it seems the devices are also fierce rivals on other shores.
In an article for the CCS Insight Blog, Paolo Pescatore says Italians face a tough choice between the desirability of Apple's 3G offering and the free music that is available with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic package.
Having made a recent visit to the country, the writer notes the Finnish manufacturer has launched the 5800 with its Comes With Music package - a move yet to made in the UK.
But, in news that may interest those currently recycling mobile phones, he states this service - which provides free access to a range of tunes for one year - is available to Brits opting for the 5310 XpressMusic and N95 8GB models.
He went on to explain that speaking to a number of locals, it was clear Nokia would have its work cut out for it - as "everyone wants an iPhone".
The iPhone 3G the latest phone to be launched by Apple, although some suspect the firm may upgrade the device later this year.
