Nokia has announced the winners of a competition to design a new mobile application for its latest phones.
Developers were given 24-hours to come up with an innovative new widget as part of the Finnish manufacturers recent Hackathon event which was organised in celebration of the firms upcoming N97 launch.
Mexican designer David Emmanuel Castro Guerrero was named as the winner of the competition for his Rocket application - which allows the user to locate their three nearest contacts at any given time.
Nokia will post the widget on its new Ovi Store, which is expected to launch soon and when the N97 becomes available in June, users will be able to download it for free.
Mr Guerrero commented: "It's mind-blowing to think that my application could potentially be used by millions of people on their Nokia handsets."
The N97 was unveiled by Nokia at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year.
