The few problems there are with the latest phone from HTC are "more than made up for" by its positive features.

According to TechRadar, the HTC Magic is a device that fails to hit the mark by not providing a 3.5mm headphone jack and boasting a "bog-standard" 3.2-megapixel camera.

However, when it comes to "the impressive feature set", the device delivers in a number of areas that make it a model well worth consideration.

The touchscreen display on the HTC Magic is described as "to die for" and, as the second phone to come equipped with Google's Android operating system, it is noted improvements have been made with a 1.5 firmware upgrade.

"Google's presence throughout the phone really adds a number of applications that are genuinely useful and ultimately cool," the review concludes.

Last month, Vodafone revealed it would be the exclusive carrier for the HTC Magic in the UK.
