New Samsung: One for Labrador owners?

One of the latest phones from Samsung may be a good choice for dog owners, one reviewer has suggested.
In an article for Mobile Burn, Ricky Cadden looked at the South Korean manufacturer's new rugged SGH-a657 candybar handset and said the phone was clearly aimed at outdoor types.
Although not among the many feature-rich handsets on the market, the device does boast support for 3G, as well as integrated GPS - which is highlighted as a "robust" enough list for some.
However, toughness is where Mr Cadden found the Samsung SGH-a657 was the most focused, with a thick plastic rubber-coated casing and "slightly hefty" dimensions.
"In our tests, we dropped the phone onto concrete from seven feet, played fetch with it and our chocolate Labrador retriever Abilene," he added, concluding that it "stood up" to both.
A recent review for Cnet looked at the Samsung B2700 Bound - another of its rugged models - and said it was "certainly up for a walk in the country".
