Galaga remixed for iPhone users

A revised version of an arcade classic has been polished up and brought to Apple's latest phones, a new review states.
In an article for Pocket Gamer, Andrew Williams looks at Galaga Remix for the iPhone 3G and says its creators have succeeded in capturing much of the appeal of its 1981 original.
Despite this, he suggests the game itself has "aged quite well", although some "avoidable niggles" cause it to be somewhat held back.
However, Mr Williams adds it is ultimately "an addictive slice of retro nostalgia" that may be of interest to Apple iPhone users looking for what is "essentially Space Invaders meets ballet".
Galaga is published by Namco Networks America for the new platform, but is based on an alien shooting game that emerged in arcades in the 1980s - and is a sequel to Galaxian.
Since its launch it has appeared on consoles from Atari, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.
