Apple dominance 'under threat from Nokia and Palm'

One of the latest phones from Nokia could provide a serious challenge to the iPhone 3G, it has been advised.
A spokesman for Stuff.tv, an online resource for news and reviews on the newest gadgets and handsets, said the Finnish company's upcoming N97 was just one device that would take on Apple this year.
Joe Minihane, online multimedia editor at the publication, said touchscreen mobiles including the Palm Pre could also be a big hit with those looking to get the latest technology.
"The Palm Pre has already set the bar really high and the new iPhone is obviously going to match that [ ] but I think any new Nokia touchscreen phone will happily go up against those as well," he explained.
Nokia's N97 was unveiled last year and described by its maker as more of a portable computer than a standard handset. For those recycling mobile phones, it is expected the model will be available soon.
