Sony Ericsson C510 'defies mid-range status'
28 May 2009 — 2:00 PM
Sony Ericsson has managed to pile a number of features into one of its latest phones - despite its status as a mid-range model, it has been argued.
According to channelflip, the C510 incorporates a host of facilities including an RSS reader, geotagging, podcasting and access to YouTube, Facebook and Skype, among other things.
It is suggested this could potentially make the phone "the web 2.0 dream handset" and the gadget's Cyber-shot photographic technology is also praised for its performance.
"Picture quality is better than average for a camera phone of this cost and geotagging means you can put these on Flickr and track where you took them," the site noted.
The phone also includes a Smile Shutter function, 3G connectivity and a battery life capable of "lasting in the days rather than the hours".
Sony Ericsson recently updated the software for its C905 device and incorporated the changes into a revised version of the handset - the C905+.
