Latest phone technology 'needs to be fast'

It is vital for the latest phones to be equipped with the technology to properly deliver the other functions they boast, according to one expert.
A reporter at Pocket-Lint, an online news, reviews and features resource for all kinds of gadgets and electricals, said it was all very well having a high tech smartphone - but it should also be fast and functional.
Duncan Geere, explained the speed of modern smartphones was not always high on people's buying agenda, adding there are other things that attract their attention instead.
"[Speed is] important, but I'm not sure that consumers realise that yet. More appealing to consumers are internal memory, screen size and features, as well as the all-important interface and ease of use," he concluded.
One phone that has recently received an upgrade with faster processing technology is the Apple iPhone 3G S - which the manufacturer claims is twice as fast as its predecessor.
