The phone is the latest Cyber-shot device

A new article has looked at the new Sony Ericsson C903 and suggested it is a solid mid-range cameraphone.

Branded with the same Cyber-shot name that has appeared on models like the K800i and C905, 3G.co.uk says the new handset is a feature-packed device that is centred around its five-megapixel snapper.

The design of the C903 is highlighted as "impressive" and going back to its photographic technology, the reviewer says the video recording and zoom facilities deserve "special praise".

However, the site said there are a number of better options available on gadgets like the C905 and despite offering a smooth web experience, the model was criticised for not coming with Wi-Fi connectivity.

"The Sony Ericsson C903 is a competent alternative if you’re not prepared to shell out the pennies for a higher-end handset," it concluded.

Consumers recycling mobile phones may be interested to hear that the eight-megapixel C905 was recently given an upgrade.
