The Rival is ideal for text and email

An article posted on Mobile Burn this week by Marc Lynde has looked at the various features on offer from the Motorola A455 Rival and noted while they are many, the device still managed to be compact.

In addition to boasting its own slide-out qwerty keyboard, the handset was praised for coming fitted with a regular-sized 3.5mm headphone jack, something he said would be "sure to please" many.

Mr Lynde explained that it is clear the manufacturer is targeting the younger user with the A455 Rival and will face challenges from similar models like the LG enV3 and Samsung's Alias 2.

However, he concluded: "[Consumers] looking for a great device that has support for a variety of features that can rival a smartphone, I would recommend taking a look at the Motorola Rival."

Earlier this year, the firm unveiled a new advertising campaign featuring David Beckham to promote its Aura model.
