Those looking for a new handset having recycled their used mobiles have been told one of the latest BlackBerrys is a "must have".
Research In Motion (RIM), the company behind the range of business-focused smartphones, said this week that the BlackBerry Bold is a great model for those who demand more from their devices.
The comments followed the launch of the Bold in Denmark and Portugal this month, although the phone is also available in the UK.
RIM took the opportunity to state the Bold was worthy of consideration for anyone looking for a new professional smartphone that paid particular attention to performance and design.
"Featuring a lustrous black exterior, satin chrome finished frame and stylish leatherette backplate, the BlackBerry Bold is a symbol of accomplishment and aspiration," RIM said.
The phone itself is equipped with HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 480x320 resolution colour display and 1GB of onboard storage - upgradable to 16GB using an additional memory card.
GPS support and a two-megapixel camera are also onboard and business users can use the device to access Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
