The LG KM900 Arena has been unveiled as the Green Mobile Phone 2009/2010 as part of the 2009 European Imaging and Sound Association's (EISA) annual awards.
It was announced that the South Korean firm had taken gongs in four categories, which also included Best Value LCD TV for the SL8000, Best Value Blu-Ray Player for the BD390 and Best HT System for the HB954PB.
However, it was the Arena which was singled out as the device which was able to deliver the best environmental performance, coupled with the latest in handset technology.
"LG's KM900 is not only striking in appearance but is also the greenest fully-featured mobile phone on the market today," EISA said.
"Beauty and intelligence combine in the Arena to produce a genuinely green mobile phone."
The LG-KM900 was unveiled at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is equipped with Dolby Mobile audio, a five-megapixel camera, 40 GB of storage and a three-inch touchscreen.
