Apple iPhone users 'may not be aware of its capabilities'

There may be more people than you would think that are unaware of the full capabilities of their mobile, it has been suggested.
Robert Caunt said in a blog post for the CCS Insight page recently that a recent incident with an Apple iPhone 3G user had made him think.
He explained that while having lunch with a friend and his father, the conversation turned to gadgetry and the older family member produced his handset to ask if it was possible to connect to the web using it.
Mr Caunt went on to say his first thought was to mentally chastise the "old fool" for not being as tech-savvy as the rest of the world, but added there may be many people who simply do not buy such a model for its specification.
"They see it as a phone that works well and won't embarrass them if they pull it out at a cocktail party," he noted. "I suspect I'll encounter many more people reaching into their pocket and being surprised at what their phone can do."
On June 22nd, Apple announced it had sold its one millionth iPhone 3G S.
