An old Samsung handset could be traded in for the new one

The new Omnia HD i8910 could be the perfect reason to recycle your old phone.

Those looking to upgrade their current mobile phone need look no further than Samsung’s latest release to fulfil their needs.

Powered by Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz interface and the S60 fifth Edition version of the Symbian operating system, this mobile certainly packs a lot into a small package.

The phone's 3.7-inch AMOLED screen and 720p video have been singled out for praise by reviewers. Writing for The Guardian, Charles Arthur said: "The i8910 has a gorgeous screen, with fabulous HD-quality graphics."

Samsung have also managed to squeeze in an eight-megapixel camera. John Herrman of gizmondo.com describes video capture as "razor-sharp at 720p" and shooting still as "a rare treat".

Business users have not been forgotten, with a suite of work related apps bundled with the phone, including a trial version of QuickOffice.

Available in the UK through the Orange network, the i8910 could tempt users to recycle their old mobile phones and go for an upgrade.
