Movie fans may want to consider recycling mobile phones to purchase the latest models following a deal announced by Gameloft this week.
One of the most highly anticipated films of the year, James Cameron's Avatar, is to be given its own mobile game tie-in and the developer has been charged with the task of delivering this.
The company said it had made the agreement with Fox Mobile Entertainment and would endeavour to help create a title that lived up to the visionary landscapes and characters which feature in the movie.
Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice-president at Gameloft, said: "With a riveting storyline and compelling characterization, Avatar: the Mobile Game will raise the bar for the mobile game user experience."
Last week, film fans all over the world headed to cinemas where they were given an exclusive first look at the flick with a selection of clips hand-picked by James Cameron.
