There are a number of options available to those searching for the latest phones, yet a new review states Nokia may have the answer for some people.

In a recent article about the manufacturer's 6600 Slide model, Pocket-lint's Stuart Miles draws attention to the fact that the simple entry-level handset has a few tricks up its sleeve.

He notes that the new device, which counts the 6600 Fold as its sibling, is well-designed, nice to hold and easy to use - but with a range of high-profile features that could interest many.

"The Nokia 6600 Slide is an incredibly basic and simple phone to use, however it still manages to pack 3G and a 3.2-megapixel camera into the mix. The battery life is also really impressive," Mr Miles concludes.

In addition, the phone has a 2.2-inch screen, integrated music player, FM radio and access to Nokia's Xpress Audio Messaging service.
