Expert calls for sustainability awareness

Recycling can be good for sustainability drives

One expert has called for more awareness on the importance of sustainable living and renewable energy.

In comments that may inspire those looking to recycle mobile phones, a spokesman for British Eco Energy said that if the government wants to reach its targets for carbon reduction it should be educating the public.

He went on to say recent reports suggesting the country could face blackouts if improvements to infrastructure are not made may not be tangible, but when it comes to sustainability it is clear there was work to be done.

The expert concluded by noting that government targets were "ambitious", adding: "If awareness is not raised significantly then the chances of them meeting those targets are very slim."

British Eco Energy is a group which offers advice and support to homeowners looking to make their properties more sustainable and environmentally friendly - something which could be aided with mobile recycling.
