New business mobile 'the fastest around'
31 December 2008 — 11:30 AM
Business users looking to upgrade their used mobile phones may be interested in a new handset that claims to be "the fastest in the world".
This week Asus, a manufacturer famed for its award-winning line of micro laptops, announced the launch of the P565 and noted the phone is equipped with 800 Mhz of processing power.
It is claimed this makes the Asus P565 a business-focussed PDA-style device that outstrips all of its rivals in terms of speed - and other notable features include a 2.8-inch touchscreen, GPS connectivity and Microsoft Office Mobile.
Edward Wang, Asus' business head of mobile communications, said the company's latest mobile phones project had resulted in the production of an "uncompromising" device.
"This phone is a fusion of unparalleled performance with unrivalled style to give the discerning business professional an ultimate productivity tool that fits in his pocket," he added.
Asus' Eee PC series of laptops has received praise from a number of sector experts and earlier in 2008 the latest model was awarded the title of Gadget of the Year by Stuff Magazine.
