Vodafone is giving its users' a chance to get flashy

A new handset has been launched by one operator that may interest those selling old mobile phones for something with a little more flair.

Vodafone has announced this week that its customers in the UK can now get their hands on a special edition version of its 533 model that is encrusted with 126 gemstones.

The Crystallized Swarovski Elements is available now on the operator's pay-as-you-go package and according to the firm may be ideal for those seeking out a gadget that is both "stylish and functional".

Equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera that boasts a 4 x zoom lens, as well as Bluetooth support and an FM radio, the new Vodafone 533 can be picked up for around £90 with 100 free minutes and 300 texts.

"Those wanting music on the move can plug in a 4GB SD memory card and store up to 1,000 tracks," the network added.

Vodafone recently boosted its prepaid package range with a selection of touchscreen models including the Samsung Genio.
