Game sales increase on the Apple iPhone

Those with an Apple iPhone have been playing a record numbers of games over the festive period, experts have predicted.
People using the iPhone may be increasingly looking to take advantage of the applications on offer to them to entertain themselves while on the move, which could encourage more people to get money for their mobile to upgrade to the handset.
Raymond Lau, co-founder and chief executive officer of PlayHaven, said: "The week between Christmas and New Years has become the great 'Game Rush' for iPhone games - essentially what Black Friday is to brick and mortar retailers."
He added that the surge in iPhone game downloads is "even more spectacular" in light of the slow holiday sales for games console titles over the holiday period.
More than 15,000 game titles are available in the App Store, reports cellular news.
It was recently suggested by Vodafone that it is looking to attract business consumers to the iPhone when it is available on the network.
