Vodafone Sure Signal provides "reliable voice coverage"
21 January 2010 — 3:58 PM
The Vodafone Sure Signal device will offer users reliable 3G access, it has been suggested.
Consumers may want to consider selling an old mobile in order to take advantage of the femtocell-powered product, which promises to provide improved 3G reception to all homes and offices that purchase it, regardless of whether the signal is usually poor.
Simon Saunders, chairman of the Femto Forum, said that they deliver solid, reliable voice coverage to all existing 3G phones.
He added: "They also provide a means for customers to access a great experience of mobile broadband data while relieving operator networks of much of the pressure created by the growth in mobile data usage from 3G dongles and smartphones."
Recent research by Vodafone UK revealed the importance of indoor mobile phone coverage, with one in five Brits saying they have missed an important event because of a lack of signal.
One in 50 people stated that they have even considered moving house for better indoor coverage.
