Latest phones 'could mean big year for games'

Consumers looking at the latest phones may be buoyed by comments that suggest 2009 could be a great year for games.
The Pocket Gamer website states this week there are a number of titles heading to mobiles that could prove tempting to those who have secured the newest devices.
In the piece, Fraser MacInnes suggests titles such as Brothers In Arms: Hour of Heroes show just how serious the market is for portable gaming, but adds this should not effect console users too much.
He states although there will be no "mass userbase exodus" from platforms like the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, there are some great things to look forward to.
"With the current crop of trendy mobile gaming platforms seemingly booming it's not unreasonable to assume that the relatively cheap price of mobile games could weather 2009's credit crisis better," Mr MacInnes concludes.
Recently, the site has looked at a number of new releases such as Crayon Physics, Super Fruitfall, Retro Cave Flyer and World of Dice.
