Businesses 'increasingly looking to greener options'

There are a number of things businesses are doing to ensure they are seen to be more environmentally-friendly.
According to a spokesman for Eurostar, the high-speed train service that links London to a host of European destinations, travel is just one field where businesses are looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
Simon Montague, director of corporate communications for the group, said firms were now keen to embrace the most environmentally-responsible options possible - and this attitude is also prevalent in the public domain.
"All of us are thinking about our environmental impact whether it be using less plastic bags or thinking of smaller cars. That trend will truly continue and it is an ever growing public interest," he added.
Mr Montague's comments may inspire business professionals and the general public alike to recycle mobile phones before buying new devices - as this is one way to generate cash and limit the amount of hazardous waste that goes to landfill.
