10 May 2010 — 4:00 PM
Recycling an old mobile phone with Envirofone may be something worth considering for people that would like to get their hands on the Apple iPad.
Mobile network O2 UK has revealed details of its tariffs for the device, which will be made available with Wi-FI and 3G.
Sally Cowdry, O2's marketing director, said: "We are truly excited to provide service for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G. We've worked closely with Apple to make sure customers get an excellent experience when using their iPad Wi-Fi + 3G on O2."
Customers will benefit from thousands of public Wi-Fi locations and the mobile operator's customer service, she added.
People wanting to get their hands of the device - which goes on sale in the UK on May 28th - could opt to pre-order it now.
The iPad is just 0.5 inches thick, meaning it could be a more convenient alternative to a netbook.
