Women could sell used mobile phones 'for job hunt'

Jobseekers who want to make the most of social networking sites could swap their used mobile phone for a smartphone, it has been suggested.
According to Claire Goodwin, sales director for womenintechnology.co.uk, sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are a good way to keep in touch with contacts that may lead you to a job opportunity.
The expert claimed that being able to use modern devices is essential for most jobs today, a comment that could see females selling a used mobile phone and investing in a smartphone.
"Access to technology and the ability to use it to its full advantage really can be key to finding that dream job," Ms Goodwin said.
A recent study from BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT showed that swapping an old mobile phone for a new one could increase happiness, as people with access to new technology are more satisfied with life.
