Sell a mobile phone to raise cash for Nokia with football apps
9 June 2010 — 11:52 AM
People hoping to get money for old mobile phones could pick up a new Nokia smartphone to take advantage of its football-themed apps.
The official Nokia blog has identified three of the best soccer apps from its Ovi store in the run up to the World Cup - which kicks off on Friday (June 11th) - in order to keep football fans happy until the opening whistle blows.
Real Football 2010 allows players to set up friendly matches, penalty shoot-outs and training sessions, using touchscreen technology to move the ball around the pitch.
For when the tournament finishes, Nokia Goal will keep enthusiasts updated with info from all UK and European competitions, as well as Latin American football leagues.
However, AP 2010 World Cup offers up-to-date information about the next few weeks' global clashes on the move.
Along with the latter app, Nokia recently released the Al Jazeera feature, which allows users to watch the Arabic news channel live on their phone, along with all the top headlines.
