Recycling of mobile phones highlighted during special week
24 June 2010 — 7:03 PM
The recycling of mobile phones is a topic that will be on the lips of many Britons currently, as the country celebrates Recycle Week.
Running from June 21st to 27th, the event aims to highlight the importance of being good to the environment and what can be achieved through reusing materials.
One item that is ideal for recycling is a mobile phone, with the disposal of Nokia, Samsung and LG devices in a safe way far better for the planet than abandoning them in a drawer or cupboard.
Organisers of the week have even launched a website detailing many of the ways that people can get recycling.
Those who choose to follow it may wish to sell their mobile to Envirofone for cash, which would both help the environment and give them funds towards their next purchase.
One handset that many may currently require money for is the iPhone 4, which was launched in the UK today (June 24th).
