Selling used mobile phones may help festival fans get hands on new app

Music fans gearing up for a summer of festivals may find the ideal accompaniment for their trips by selling a used mobile phone.
They could then put the money towards buying one of two Nokia devices that have been specially adapted for one of the UK's leading events.
V Festival takes place simultaneously in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire, with thousands of people heading to the venues to enjoy a range of stars in action.
To mark the popular event, the Nokia 5230V and Nokia X6V mobile phones have been pre-loaded with a V Festival app that will allow users to keep up-to-date with all that is happening.
But the app is not the only reason to buy either of the devices, as they also feature some of the latest technology and design specifications.
Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media, which is offering the phones along with Nokia, says: "The special V edition handsets launching in July will be the perfect partner for revellers and the new V Festival app will transform their weekend."
V Festival takes place on August 21st and 22nd.
