Sell mobile phone and use Nokia N8 'as home cinema'

Consumers who use money for an old mobile phone from Envirofone to purchase a Nokia N8 handset will gain access to their own home cinema.

That is because the handset comes complete with HDMI technology, allowing users to take pictures and download movies on their phone and show them on a high-definition (HD) television, explains the Nokia Conversations blog.

"Load the N8 up with movies and you'll be able to watch them over HDMI on any HD television you like, complete with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound," it states.

While previous Nokia mobile phones have had "basic" television functions, none have offered the opportunity to show films in such quality.

Fans of any production, from movies to comedy, documentaries and soaps, may see the Nokia N8 as worth selling their old mobile phone for.

The N8 is just one of the devices in Nokia's portfolio, with the firm selling more than a billion units each year.
