Could consumers make money by selling mobile phone?

Selling a used phone for cash with companies such as Envirofone may be one way for Brits to make some extra money this summer.

And, in order to fill the gap left by the loss of a device, buying the smart and affordable Alcatel OT-708 could be an option.

Charles Kloet, reviewing the handset for CNET UK, says it is a cheap and cost-effective phone with an "appealing design".

Retailing at £80, the Alcatel model could be seen as an upgrade to some mobile phone users, while its price tag may make a profit on the swap of handsets a realistic prospect to others.

"The Alcatel OT-708 is a decent touchscreen phone, considering how cheap it is," asserts Mr Kloet, adding "if you're skint or want a cheap secondary handset it's still worth a look".

Alcatel is part of TCT Mobile Limited, which says it offers innovative designs and attractive brands across the world.
