Selling used phone could be best move for holidaymakers
21 July 2010 — 6:45 PM
Holidaymakers gearing up for their summer break may have forgotten just one thing - to sell their used phones.
This is because those that do this and invest the cash in an Apple iPhone or other android smartphone will have access to a unique postcard-sending service.
Devon-based eCards Media has launched an app that allows people to take a snap with their phone's camera and have it sent home by conventional post.
The picture is sent to the firm via the app, with staff printing it on to a postcard and posting it to the designated recipient.
It means special moments from the beaches of Spain to the desert in Egypt and the sights of New York can be shared by family and friends after a few clicks of a mobile.
Millions of people are already be in a position to use the app, with 1.7 million buying the iPhone 4 in its first three days on the market alone, but others may now wish to sell their used phones and enjoy the app.
