4 August 2010 — 5:15 PM
A number of features in the Samsung Galaxy Apollo GT-i5801 could appeal to people thinking about selling old mobile phones in the hope of raising some money for a new handset.
The phone has been granted a four-star rating by CNET UK, which was impressed by its responsive touchscreen featuring multi-touch support and the reasonably long battery life.
People raising money for mobile phone acquisition will be glad to hear that apart from also featuring a good camera, the communication device has "impressive video playback", according to the reviewer.
The website stated that the Android-based Apollo GT-i5801's "slick touchscreen, reasonably powerful processor and impressive multimedia features help it rise above the moderately priced smart-phone competition".
Apart from getting some money off an old device, people who choose to sell mobile phones rather than let them end up in landfill sites also help to protect the environment.
Meanwhile, ShortList magazine recently recommended the Samsung Wave for those who love movies on the go.
