Fans of action games may have a significant incentive to sell their mobile phone and splash out on an iPhone 4.
John Carmack, creator of the popular game Doom, has showed off footage of his latest invention, Rage, which runs on the revolutionary Apple device, according to Asavin Wattanajantra, reviewing the production for CNET UK.
Mr Carmack believes the game will run to a standard at least as fast and efficient as the original Doom Classic.
"It works really very smoothly, and what we have is all the megatextured goodness we are used to," he is said to have stated.
Meanwhile, Mr Wattanajantra suggests this could be the start of developers taking advantage of the iPhone 4's vast memory and operating system.
The iPhone 4 was released in the UK and four other countries on June 24th - in which it sold 1.7 million times in its first three days on the shelves - and has since been rolled out in a number of others.
