T Mobile to offer free gaming
4 December 2008 — 2:00 PM
The T Mobile network has become the first service provider in the UK to boost its offerings with free advertising-funded games.
In news which may encourage some to trade up their handset for the latest phones, the firm has launched the T Mobile Game Club and has titles such as Poker Million II now available to play.
Big name advertisers, such as Paramount Pictures - which is using the games to promote its latest animated movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa - are onboard and it is hoped other titles will soon be on offer.
Currently slated for inclusion to the club are IQ Booster, Pro-Bowling, Pool Star and Einstein's Brain Game - and according to Damien Byrne, T Mobile's head of new proposition development, could just be the beginning.
"We continue to make mobile gaming easier than ever before and a more enjoyable experience for our customers," he added.
The T Mobile G1 is one of the latest handsets available on the network and combines the technology of HTC with the new Google Android operating system - making it a tempting buy for those who have recently received money for old mobile phones.
