People could use their Apple iPhone to source financial help.

People who are frequently in need of up-to-date financial advice may be wise to sell an old mobile phone and upgrade to an Apple iPhone. has launched the first 'find an IFA' app, which puts consumers in touch with independent financial advisers (IFAs) through their handset.

It is described as the most comprehensive resource for those on the lookout for help with their money.

Karen Barrett, chief executive at the website, says the app offers access to financial experts "at the touch of a button".

"It offers the same quality results and detailed information as the well established 'find an IFA' search on the website," she adds.

Using the app could not be easier, as it is free to download and Apple iPhone owners need only to enter their postcode in order to enjoy a list of IFAs.

People working in the financial sector were recently provided with their own app, called IFA Life, which offers the latest industry news.
