At Envirofone we believe in the three Rs: Recovery, Reuse and Recycling

Recovery

Calling all mobile phone owners. Envirofone want old and unused mobile phones so we can find new homes for them. At the same time we offer our customers a great cash price for their old mobiles.

Reuse

At the top of the recycling chain is reuse. It really is the way forward and ensures that mobile phones get a new lease of life by using as little energy as possible. We reuse almost all handsets somewhere in the world, often in developing economies where access to mobile phones makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Recycling

In some cases we aren’t able to refurbish or sell on the mobile phone ourselves. In these cases we send the mobile phone for evaluation by a registered recycling company. They then decide if they can refurbish, use for parts or break down the mobile phone for recycling.

Our Promise to the Environment

As our name suggests, we like to do our bit for the Environment. We reuse almost all the mobile phones we recover and make sure these handsets go on to have a new life.

If the mobile phone is not reusable by us, we’ll send it on to a 3rd party recycler who will then evaluate it and decide whether the mobile can be refurbished, used for parts or broken down for recycling.

Waste Transfer

Our philosophy is we to seek to provide new homes for the phones, devices and accessories that we buy from customers. They are not considered waste while they are circulating in the re-use market.

Around 98% of the products that we receive are reusable and the small minority that we can’t reuse are sent to a third party for refurbishment or registered UK recycling plants.

We understand that our clients have a duty to provide evidence of what happens to electronic items once they leave your ownership and we are therefore providing this statement as confirmation that we class the products that we buy from you as 2nd hand electronic and electrical equipment (EEE) and not waste.
